Quick changeovers:

The clamping section, milling section, gluing section, nipping table, and cover scoring rollers are automatically set up based on the book block thickness measured on the built-in caliper, simplifying book-of-one changeovers. Other fine adjustments like air separation at the cover feeder, glue application volume and length, and milling depth can be set automatically from the touchscreen control panel, minimizing manual touchpoints.

Customizable templates:

Setup can be automated even further with the BQ-300’s new template feature. Custom templates can be created on the control panel depending on desired book style, quality, paper type, and more and can be stored for use at any time. With custom templates, operators of any skill level can produce high-quality, consistent books.

Inline configurations:

The BQ-300 can be run inline with a trimmer, and it can even be configured as a fully automated system with a sheet feeder, an accumulator, and a robot arm feeding book blocks into the clamps of the perfect binder.
