In May, Standard hosted its annual Finishing 360 open house, bringing together industry professionals for hands-on discussions around finishing, automation, and workflow innovation. For the first time ever, we welcomed new pre- and post-partners, EMT and Tecnau, and showcased integrated solutions with unwinders and cutters from both companies. We also demonstrated the new, fully automated Palamides Gamma stacker and bander, which Standard is reselling.
Ricoh and Standard partnered to showcase the value of automation and integrated solutions at Finishing 360. At the event, attendees saw live demonstrations of the Horizon SmartSlitter in-line with a RICOH Pro C7210SX Press producing on-demand variable applications, including flyers with perforated tear-offs, business cards, and greeting cards.
Standard’s June FinishLine newsletter features two customer success stories, event recaps, and company updates from Standard and Horizon.

Standard was a proud sponsor of this year’s Ricoh VIP Inkjet event in January. Johan Laurent, Frits Knepper, and Katelyn Pinch from Standard presented two Ricoh-Standard customer success stories to attendees and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with the Ricoh team.
Standard started the year by launching a redesigned corporate website featuring a more modern, dynamic design and an improved user experience. The redesigned website introduces the future of the Standard Finishing brand around the theme of “The Power of Smart Finishing.”
We are excited to share that Standard is now supporting the integration of new pre/post partners, including Tecnau and EMT, with Horizon equipment. Together, we are offering our mutual customers access to complete roll-fed finishing that best meets their application and business needs.
Please reach out to Johan or Katelyn with any questions on these new partnerships.
Standard knows that the future of print is driven by automation and next-generation workflow solutions. Horizon’s iCE LiNK Postpress Management System helps our mutual customers realize this vision through production management across multiple finishing devices, delivering a higher level of operational efficiency. The best part, iCE LiNK can be accessed from anywhere using the cloud, so customers can see exactly what’s happening in real-time, even if they are not on the production floor.
In October, Standard welcomed a focused group of book manufacturers to our National Demonstration Center in Andover for a two-day event during which the group participated in hands-on demonstrations of the latest book-finishing equipment. At the event, pre-printed rolls from the RICOH Pro VC40000 were used to create glued book blocks on the Horizon BBS-56 Book Block solution. The book blocks were then finished in-line with a BQ-500 Perfect Binder and HT-1000V Trimmer.

In October, Standard represented Horizon and Hunkeler equipment at PRINTING United 2025 in Orlando, FL. We showcased and demonstrated over 20 individual post-press finishing solutions in our 5,000 square feet of exhibit space, the largest display of finishing at the show. Additionally, Standard worked with our printer vendor and pre-post partners on pre-printed applications that ran live in our booth and partner booths during the event.
Standard is hosting a series of Horizon-focused webinars for the Ricoh sales and professional services teams. The first session focused on roll-to-fold applications featuring a Horizon AFV-56 Series folder, and the second session highlighted the Horizon StitchLiner Mark V Saddlestitcher for booklet production. Both sessions are available on demand. In January, we will host the final webinar in the series, which will walk through case binding preparation on the BQ-500 Perfect Binder and HT-300 Trimmer. Please contact us if you would like access to the recordings or if you would like to attend the next session.
In this edition, Standard highlights two customer success stories and provides a look at what’s ahead for Standard in 2026.
