After adding both roll-fed and sheet-fed inkjet presses, Canon-Standard customer McClung Companies needed digital finishing to support the output. McClung invested in the Horizon StitchLiner Mark V Saddlestitcher with HSF-50 High-Speed Sheet Feeder finishing output from a Tecnau roll/cut/stack system, the StitchLiner Mark III Saddlestitcher with HOF-400 High Speed Sheet Feeder and VAC Collating Towers, and a Horizon CRF-362 Creaser/Folder for sheet-fed finishing.
Standard started the year by launching a redesigned corporate website featuring a more modern, dynamic design and an improved user experience. The redesigned website introduces the future of the Standard Finishing brand around the theme of “The Power of Smart Finishing.”
We are excited to share that Standard is now supporting the integration of new pre/post partners, including Tecnau and EMT, with Horizon equipment. Together, we are offering our mutual customers access to complete roll-fed finishing that best meets their application and business needs.
Please reach out to Johan or Katelyn with any questions on these new partnerships.
Standard knows that the future of print is driven by automation and next-generation workflow solutions. Horizon’s iCE LiNK Postpress Management System helps our mutual customers realize this vision through production management across multiple finishing devices, delivering a higher level of operational efficiency. The best part, iCE LiNK can be accessed from anywhere using the cloud, so customers can see exactly what’s happening in real-time, even if they are not on the production floor.

In October, Standard represented Horizon and Hunkeler equipment at PRINTING United 2025 in Orlando, FL. We showcased and demonstrated over 20 individual post-press finishing solutions in our 5,000 square feet of exhibit space, the largest display of finishing at the show. Additionally, Standard worked with our printer vendor and pre-post partners on pre-printed applications that ran live in our booth and partner booths during the event.
Standard, Canon, and UltimateTech partnered on a saddlestitched booklet finished live in Standard’s booth during PRINTING United. The booklet was pre-printed on the Canon ProStream 3000 series press and finished on the Standard Roll-to-Saddlestitch Solution featuring the Horizon StitchLiner Mark V Saddlestitcher.
In this edition, Standard highlights two mutual Canon-Standard customer success stories and provides a look at what’s ahead for Standard in 2026.
Standard, Horizon, and Hunkeler once again joined Canon in July in Boca Raton, Florida, for another excellent thINK Ahead event. As a platinum sponsor, we were able to host our mutual customers for boozy ice cream during the Boca Royal evening reception and connect with them and our partners at Canon at the Partner Pavilion.
Standard’s Johan Laurent and Katelyn Pinch joined the BMI community for the recent Book Manufacturing Mastered in NYC earlier this month, and Virginia DaCosta caught up with our colleagues north of the border at the BMI Canadian Roundtable in August. We enjoyed the opportunities to connect with partners and customers on the state of the industry and explore its future direction.
