Job Description
Standard Finishing Systems is expanding its Technical Support Team by hiring a talented Service Engineer to assist our organization in servicing and supporting a wide variety of paper finishing products. This highly visible position will be responsible for a variety of in-line and off-line paper finishing products as follows: Folders, Cutters, Binders, Collators, Stitch-liners and various digital modules.
General Responsibilities
- Perform field installation, equipment and application testing, and operator training
- Respond to on-site service calls, perform equipment repairs, application testing, and training
- Provide technical phone support to our customers through call tracking database
- Troubleshoot equipment problems, collect service data, and support projects as assigned
- Assist with equipment demonstrations and application testing
- Support national and regional equipment shows
- Manage technical details associated with each assignment
- Follow-up and work to resolve installations and manufacturing issues
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years field service equipment repair
- Two year technical degree or equivalent experience
- Willing and able to travel primarily national and occasionally international locations
- Electrical/Mechanical skill sets: multi-meter usage and reading electrical schematics
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite
- Resourceful, good attitude, high energy and self-motivated
