Job Description:
The Technical Trainer assists our Service Team and Training Center with a growing multi-product line consisting of folders, collators, booklet makers, binders, cutters, paper roll processing and other products for the printing finishing industry. This individual is essential to the Training Team and provides useful, effective training and resources to employees and students.
Reporting To:
Technical Training Manager
Responsibilities Include:
- Serve as lead instructor in delivery of technical training programs (specific products).
- Develop course materials and content, and training aids to support operation and technical training programs.
- Monitor trainee’s progress, conduct assessments, practical exercises and evaluations to ensure learning and course effectiveness.
- Maintain training equipment in ready state.
- Provide selective phone support to maintain expertise in products.
- Participate in field visits and training at customer sites.
- Keep abreast of new technology, industry trends, and software updates to ensure training material is current.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Electrical/Mechanical skill sets: Multi-meter and reading electrical schematics a must.
- Excellent communications, presentation, and listening skills.
- Strong planning and organizations skills with strong focus on attention to detail.
- Resourcefulness, high energy, and self-initiative are desired strengths.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.
- Ability to be on site at Andover, MA, headquarters location.
- Valid driver’s license
Education/Experience
- Minimum 5 years field service, equipment repair, and technical training experience.
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform office activities, using computer equipment with fine motor skills.
- Ability to facilitate training sessions, including moving around to interact with trainees and train on equipment.
- Lifting/moving objects up to ~20lbs.
- Willing and able to travel (anticipated up to 10% overnight travel).
Compensation Range
$65,000-$85,000 base annual salary; exempt position.
